Prakash Naran Siju

Prakash’s family is one of a very few who have made flat weave carpets for several generations. Prakash learned carpet weaving and took a year-long design course. He graduated with the award for Most Promising Artisan.

The family had woven the same traditional pattern for decades. After that they wove another limited series of patterns on order for years. In 2018 Prakash’s brother Prashant studied design at Somaiya Kala Vidya. Today the family creates and markets the unique carpets that Prakash had envisioned.
