Zakiya Adil Khatri

Growing up in a batik and bandhani family, Zakiya observed that in bandhani, women do the work and men get the credit. She studied design at KRV and business management at Somaiya Kala Vidya, and began a brand, Bairaj- the rule of women.

Zakiya married her classmate Adil, and they started a joint business. She has lectured in Peru and the University of Wisconsin. Today, she is building a business focused on women.
