Rabari Embroidery Artists

For artisans, craftsmanship is above and beyond the art of tradition. It is what they add of themselves to that tradition. All of the artisans represented are members of traditional artisan families who have graduated from a year-long course in design education specifically tailored for artisans, focused on learning to innovate within traditions. Each individual’s work is unique and also recognizably rooted in his or her tradition. Each Artisan Designer has a singular powerful story to tell.
