Bandhani Artist
A traditional bandhani artist, Aziz is blessed with an unfettered imagination and a humorful take on life. Known for his skill in dyeing, when he took the pilot design for artisans course, he channeled for his creativity and took the family business from traditional woolen shawls to Ababil brand.
Today the family creates fabulous silk saris and scarves. Aziz, his brother Suleman and his daughter Tainabanu have shown their work at the V&A museum, Lakme Fashion Week and the International Folk Art Market.
